Itinerary
Day 1: Dehradun to Silla (180km, 8-9hours)
This is the first leg of your journey, where you’ll be driving from Dehradun to Silla, a small village nestled in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. The drive itself is a scenic experience, offering glimpses of the Himalayan foothills as you approach your destination.
Day 2: Silla to Papuda (6km, 5-6 hours)
Gear up for a moderately challenging hike today! The 6-kilometer journey from Silla to Papuda will take you deeper into the Himalayas, offering stunning mountain views as you ascend. Allow 5 to 6 hours to complete this stage, taking your time to soak in the fresh mountain air and picturesque surroundings.
Day 3: Papuda to Kush Kalyan (6km, 4-5hours)
Today’s the big day! It’s your hike to the stunning Kush Kalyan meadows. The distance is just 6 kilometers, but allow yourself 4-5 hours to enjoy the moderate climb. The fresh mountain air and incredible Himalayan views will make the trek even more enjoyable.
As you reach higher ground, keep an eye out for colorful wildflowers and unique birds along the path. Soon, you’ll be surrounded by the vast expanse of Kush Kalyan meadows, a picture-perfect ending to this leg of your journey.
Day 4: Kush Kalyan to Silla (7-8 hours)
Time to head back! Today’s trek takes you 7 to 8 hours to descend from Kush Kalyan meadows back to Silla. The trail is moderate, so enjoy the beautiful scenery one last time as you make your way down.
Day 5: Silla to Dehradun
Wrap up your adventure! Enjoy a scenic drive back to Dehradun from Silla, marking the end of your fantastic Kush Kalyan Bugyal trek.
