Trek Summary
The snow-covered Nanda Devi, Chaukhamba, Kedarnath, and Neelkanth peaks frame the five temples in the Upper Himalayas. Kedarnath is in the Mandakini River valley, whereas the other temples are in the highlands between it and the Alaknanda Gorge.
Only Rudranath is accessible by motorbike, and the other four temples are remote. Tungnath lies in Chopta, near Ukhimath, and boasts a stunning view of Panchachuli, Dunagiri, Kedarnath, Nanda Devi, and Bandar Poonch. In Urgam Valley, apple orchards and terraced potato fields thrive. Kalp Ganga, an Alaknanda tributary, flows through this valley.
